Herbarium Development Team
- Jesus "Jesse" Becerra (a.k.a. "Junior") is a native of the "Bad Lands" area and a graduate of Eagle Pass High School. At this time he is currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Animal Science with a minor in Criminal Justice, at Angelo State University from which he will graduate in May 01.
- Jessica Boesen is a second-year Animal Science major at Angelo State University. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she made her way to Austin, TX (13 years ago) via Souix Falls, South Dakota. She became interested in Agriculture while listening to her father's stories about growing up on a farm in Nebraska. After three years of Future Farmers of America at Bowie, where she judged range for two years, she decided to ‘stay in the field.' Upon completion at ASU, Jessica intends to join the Peace Corps, so that she may help others learn more about the Ag. Industry.
- Rose Cooper is a Research Assistant with the Range Ecology Program at the Uvalde Research and Extension Center. Rose received her BS and MS degrees from Sul Ross State University in Animal Science.
- Bob Lyons is an Associate Professor of Range Management and Range Extension Specialist with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. His extension program focuses on brush management through herbicides, water production from rangelands, and grazing distribution of domestic livestock.
- M. Keith Owens is a Professor with the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in Uvalde. His research program focuses on shrub ecology of the South Texas Plains and the Texas Hill Country.
